Ballast Nightstand

The Ballast Nightstand won People’s Choice in the Prototype Competition at IDSwest 2014.

Ballast is a leaning bedside storage solution that provides small spaces with a functional, customizable, and innovative furniture piece. The nightstand is comprised of a simple leaning hoop stand and a series of storage attachments. The attachments are adjustable to match a variety of bed heights. Optional Corian legs can be easily fitted to the frame to create a freestanding unit.

The lightweight unit can be taken apart and put back together in a matter of minutes, and the components fit into a small flat package for shipping. The leaning frame minimizes use of materials and the solid walnut construction of the nightstand with Corian accents will stand the test of time.
